First Internet is a multi-award-winning full-service digital marketing agency, based in Hale, south Manchester. Founded in 1998, the agency now boasts hundreds of clients including well-known brands and businesses like Original Source, Motor Fuel Group and Peak ai.  A young team of 16, we work hard for our clients, with the results to prove it – we’ve been nominated for 30 industry awards in the last 18 months. Covering all elements of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, website design and development, this particular role is focused on the social media content for our clients.

About this role

Reporting to the marketing director, you’ll be expected to create innovative social media strategies for our clients, suited to their audiences and tone of voice, creating and delivering engaging content across a range of social channels.

Our client roster covers both B2C and B2B clients, offering a truly varied working day. A knowledge of paid social media advertising is also required.

The ideal candidate will use social media in their own day-to-day life and enjoy exploring new developments and trends on these channels, as well as relishing the creative element of the role.  You should possess demonstrable experience of content creation, across a variety of channels.

The role would ideally suit a social media executive with agency experience of a minimum of six months.

Strong writing skills, attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.

This position would suit an individual with a strong work ethic looking to build their career and aim towards leading their own department. Good communication skills and the ability to hit the ground running as part of an already successful marketing team are essential.

You will also be required to contribute to the growth of the business by identifying upselling opportunities as well as assisting the managers and directors pull together proposal documents for prospective new clients.

Role responsibilities

  • Delivering social client programmes – aimed at increasing awareness, traffic, revenue and more
  • Researching, writing and producing social content
  • Building client relationships
  • Programme administration and team support
  • Monitoring social media and digital channels for reactive stories and audience engagement
  • Analysing content performance, producing monthly reports and identifying areas for improvement
  • Delivering social media advertising campaigns across a variety of social channels
  • Assisting new business pitches and contributing to the delivery of strategies for both consumer and B2B brands
