We were extremely sad to announce, on Monday 15th April, that our founder, and friend, Stephen Alexander had passed away the previous evening following a battle with cancer. We have therefore set up a donation page in his memory, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause close to his heart and an organisation that helped care for Stephen, alongside his family, in his final days. To donate please click here.

Stephen was first diagnosed with cancer 16 years ago and was given only six months to live. Not one to give up without a fight, Stephen went onto beat it five times and was able to create and complete his bucket list with his wife and family. Unfortunately, cancer was to return one last time but not before he built a successful digital marketing agency that will continue to thrive in his absence.

Stephen started First Internet back in 1998 (the same year Google was founded) from his kitchen table and since then has grown a close-knit team that will very much miss his anecdotes and eloquent sayings! We posted this particular quote on his passing as we felt it summed Stephen up perfectly:

“When you’re 21 you think you know it all, when you’re 30 you know you know it all, when you’re 50 you realise you know f*** all.”

We wish to honour Stephen by raising money for this very important charity that helped him so much. Please join us in celebrating his life and donating to the cause.
