Apple iPhone/iPod Touch (iOS 5/4): Setting up your e-mail account
Please note: this guide is for iOS 5 mainly, and is very similar to iOS 4; there may be some differences between the two versions. So if you have an iPhone/iPod Touch with iOS 4, please use this guide as a rough idea.
1) On your home screen, tap Settings

2) Scroll down the Settings menu, and there should be an option called Mail, Contacts, Calendars – tap that

3) Tap the Add Account… option

4) Out of the list of options you can choose, tap Other

5) Now tap Add Mail Account

6) You will now be given a list of e-mail login details for your new account. Please fill in your name (which you can set to whatever you like), but your Address and Password must be the one’s provided to you.
The Description field is just the label for your inbox on your phone – for example, “Work E-mail“

7) Your phone will now try to automatically attempt to find the e-mail, but it won’t find anything… so you’re going to have to manually input the options. Your basic details should already be filled in, and you should choose POP as your mail type.

8) Now it will ask for the incoming server details. Your Host Name is your website domain, preceded by ‘mail.’ – for example, bobsmith.com‘s mail server would be mail.bobsmith.com.
Your User Name is your e-mail address, and your password is the same as your e-mail address password.

9) Now it will ask for your outgoing server details. These are exactly the same as the incoming server details.

And now your e-mail account should be configured on your iPhone/iPod Touch! If you have any issues, or continuously run into any problems, then please feel free to get in touch with us.
