Setting up on Windows XP



To Create a connection in Windows XP, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click Start, then select Connect To and then Show All Connections.

  2. Double click Make New Connection.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next.

  5. Select Set up my connection manually and click Next.

  6. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next.

  7. Type Shellnet as the ISP Name and click Next.

  8. Type the Shellnet access number and click Next.

  9. Enter your username and password.

    1. If you want everyone who uses the computer to be able to use this username and password to connect, select Use this account name and password...

    2. Select Make this the default Internet connection to always connect to Shellnet for the internet.

    3. If you want added security when you are connected to the internet, select Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection.

    Click Next.

  10. Click Finish.

    Click Finish
